Hi, I’m Kevin Dooley and I’m here to tell you about Accounting 201, Financial Accounting. This course is useful for students who plan on getting a two year degree and going into business soon as well as those who plan on pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Accounting is often called the language of business and one of the main objectives of this course is to make you a literate user of business financial information. You will pick up the meaning of a lot of accounting buzz words that you hear and read in the financial news. You will find out how to do accounting for a business that’s just starting through its growth and development and all the way up through their financial statements. This will help you whether you’re planning on majoring in accounting or not. Along the way, you may get the chance to work with other students on small group projects that will help firm up your knowledge, get a better grade, have fun, and most importantly make new friends. Looking forward to seeing you in Accounting 201!
