Hello, I am Hal Corcoran, and instructor in the information technology program at Kapi`olani Community College. ITS 144, PC Maintenance, Support, and Operating Systems installation is a real hands-on learning class. We learn about PC hardware and architecture, and Windows, and Linux operating systems by building, installing, troubleshooting, and configuring actual PCs. Exams in this class are split between multiple choice test and real hand-on assessments where students are asked to troubleshoot PCs and install components. This class covers much of the same material as the CompTIA A+ certification test, so some students take the certification test after they finish the class. Thank you and I hope to see you in ITS 144 soon.
