Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in ITS 224, consent of the Business Education Department chairperson, program coordinator, or instructor.

Concepts in computer and network security and security management, current threats and countermeasures.

Course Syllabus

Hello, I’m Hal Corcoran, and instructor in the information technology program at Kap`iolani Community College. ITS 324, PC and Network Security, is a course in the advanced professional certificate program which transfers to a 4-year bachelor degree at UH West Oahu. This class is based upon the CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) certification, which one of the most respected IT security certifications in the industry. Topics include: network security, application security, disaster recovery, access control, risk management, incident response and digital forensics and more.
