ITS 328 Advanced Database Programming with VB.NET (3)

Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in ITS 228, consent of the Business Education Department chairperson, program coordinator, or instructor.

This course develops the technical skills a programmer needs to design, develop, and implement multi-layer client/server database applications. Topics include advanced programming with the Visual Basic .NET language, client-server applications, and databases.

Hello, I’m Michael Paulding an IT instructor here at Kapi`olani Community College. This is ITS 328, Advanced Database Programming in Visual Basic.Net. In the course, the essential goal of this course is to be able to create professional level software using a database backbone. So we design applications that sit and run on a database that you will design and you will also build and all the intricacies of interfacing application software with database. We use visual basic as the programming language and a technology called ADO.net as the interface between the application and the database itself to create some very industry-level professional software so I hope to see you soon!
